Honeymoon Packing Checklist

The honeymoon is a symbol of a new story of life together filled with romance, adventure, and interesting experiences. While it is about enjoyment and relaxation, there is some preparation work you need to do before a trip. It's about packing.

We've decided to make a packing list for a honeymoon to be sure that you won't forget something. Read and feel free to use.

Essentials

Here is a list of significant things that you have to bring with you on vacation first of all.

  • Passports, ID cards
  • Credit cards and some cash
  • Paper copies of important documents: passport, ID, credit cards, health insurance, travel insurance, and medical prescriptions
  • Driver’s license or a form of identification
  • Paper and electronic copies of your hotel booking confirmation
  • Chargers (for your laptop, phone, or camera)

Carry-On

Carry-on is the best place to store your essentials, especially if your luggage gets lost. Here you should place:

  • Credit cards
  • Cash (or the native currency)
  • 1 paper copy of all important documents (see above)
  • Prescription medications
  • Driver’s license and passports
  • Basic toiletries (especially if you have a long flight) — face wash, toothpaste, toothbrush, deodorant
  • A change of clothes (if you need it)
  • Cell phone and charger
  • An E-reader, books, and magazines to have fun on the way

Toiletries

Personal care products and medicines are also important to bring, so we've decided to specify the most necessary ones.

  • Medications — prescription medication in original packaging, pain relievers, antacids, antihistamine
  • Skincare — face wash, face moisturizer, body lotion, makeup, and makeup remover
  • Shower essentials — shampoo, conditioner, body wash, shaving cream
  • Hair care items — hair brush, hair ties, and hairstyling tools
  • Toothbrush, toothpaste, floss
  • Hand sanitizer, deodorant
  • Perfume
  • Cotton swabs, feminine hygiene products

Clothing

Here are some clothing tips for you and your partner. Remember to take more lightweight clothing for warm destinations, and heavier coats for chilly ones.

  • Bottoms, tops, and jackets for you and your partner
  • Shoes and socks
  • Underwear, bras, lingerie, and pajamas
  • Accessories — scarves, earrings, necklaces, bracelets, purses, clutches, hats, sunglasses, ties
  • Workout attire (if necessary)

Little Things

We have selected above the main things you’ll need for your trip, but there are a few items you should throw into your suitcase:

  • Plastic bags (for wet or dirty clothes)
  • Stain remover pen
  • Umbrella or rain gear
  • Small backpack
  • A beach bag
