How to Stay Calm the Week Before Your Wedding
Let go of perfection
Small things might not go exactly as planned — and that’s okay. Remind yourself: your guests won’t notice if the flowers aren’t the exact shade of blush or if the napkins are folded differently. The heart of the day is the love you’re celebrating. Focus on that.
Delegate and trust your team
You shouldn't be the one answering vendor calls or checking if the centerpieces arrived. Hand off tasks to your planner, maid of honor, or someone you trust. They want to help — let them.
Create a “done is done” list
A few days before the wedding, make a list of everything that’s officially done. Seeing how much is already complete can ease your mind and help you release control over the rest.
Schedule daily quiet time
Even just 10–15 minutes a day can make a difference. Sit with tea, go for a walk or read a book. Give your nervous system a break from the to-do list.
Limit social media
Scrolling wedding content this week might do more harm than good. You’ve made your choices — now’s the time to trust them and tune into your story, not someone else’s.
Have a “just us” moment with your partner
This doesn’t have to be fancy. Order takeout, go for a walk, or write each other a note. Reconnecting before the big day brings everything back to why you’re doing this in the first place.
Keep a light day before the wedding
Avoid packing your day-before schedule with errands. Plan a light, peaceful day — maybe a massage, manicure, a favorite meal, and early bedtime. The more relaxed you are, the more you’ll enjoy every second.
Accept the nerves — then breathe
It’s totally normal to feel nervous, emotional, or even overwhelmed. You’re stepping into something beautiful and big. Allow yourself to feel it.
